GBA SP

Nintendo has announced that it is to release a new version of its current GameBoy Advance.  Called the GameBoy Advance SP, the new console will include two inbuilt lights in the screen, so gamers can view the screen in any lighting.  It will also have a removable ion-lithium rechargeable battery pack, which can last for up to 18 hours.  Due to its predecessor's screen getting easily damaged, Nintendo has come up with the screen being able to fold down, preventing damage, and therefore making it look similar to Nintendo's original Game & Watch from the 1980s.  The lights on the machine can be switched off if not needed, which can save battery power.  A fully charged battery, can last up to 18 hours with the lights off, and up to 10 hours with it switched on.  Here in Europe, it will be released on March 28th, and will come in three colours: metallic blue, silver, and metallic black.  The new machine will be compatible with 99% of all GameBoy games (GameBoy, GameBoy Color, and GameBoy Advance), as the original GameBoy Advance was.  It should sell at about £80-£90 (€129-€139).

Pokemon Gamecube

There have been many internet rumours recently, that the all-new Pokemon Gamecube game (which is supposed to be a 3d adventure, and not another Pokemon Stadium) will only work if the player has Pokemon Ruby or Sapphire attached to it via the GBA / GC link cable.  This may not be true, but if it is - why?!?!?!?
